Can Your Bird Predict Your Age?

This amazing connection between your age and your favorite pet bird was discovered by a team of graduate students at Purdue University. But you don't need to be a genuis like them to verify that it works. Follow the example below to see the mysterious connection between your age and your favorite bird.

1. Determine your "Pet Bird Number" by selecting your favorite pet bird from the list below. If your favorite pet bird is not listed then select the one that most closely resembles it in the list below.
   1. Cockatoo
   2. African Grey
   3. Macaw
   4. Amazon
   5. Pionus
   6. Lovebirds or Lories
   7. Caique
   8. Conure
   9. Parakeet or Budgerigar
   10. Cockatiel
   Example   -   The African Grey "Pet Bird Number" is 2.
2. Multiply your "Pet Bird Number" found in Step #1 by 2
   Example   -   2 x 2 = 4
3. Add 5 to your result found in Step #2
   Example   -   4 + 5 = 9
4. Multiply your result found in Step #3 by 50
   Example   -   9 x 50 = 450
5. Add the current gregorian calendar year to your result found in Step #4
   Example   -   450 + 2007 = 2457
6. If you've already had your birthday this year then subtract 250 from your result found in Step #5 . If you have NOT had your birthday yet this year then subtract 251 from your result found in Step #5. For this example, we'll assume that you have already had your birthday this year.
   Example   -   2457 - 250 = 2207
7. Subtract the gregorian calendar year that you were born in from your result found in Step #6. For this example, we'll assume that you were born in 1966.
   Example   -   2207 - 1966 = 241

RESULTS

Example   -   The two digits on the right reveal your age as 41 and the first digit on the left reveals which pet bird you selected in the Step #1.
